Resources

  • Chris Garrett’s Guide to Guest Posting: Chris Garrett, co-author with Darren Rowse of the Problogger book and mega-blogger in his own right at ChrisG.com has created a killer battle plan for your guest posting campaign. Check it out (full disclosure: affiliate link).
  • The Guest Post Mini Guide: There’s nothing “mini” about Jade Craven’s excellent guide to guest blogging. Jade has put herself on the blogging map with her prolific guest posting on big-name blogs. Learn how she did it by using her guide (not an affiliate link).
  • Omgili: You can search on Google for forums for any topic, but if you want to serch inside of many forums at once for a keyword, Omgili is your tool. You adjust search sliders for how hot the activity is around your keyword so you can find only the busiest threads with the most eyeballs on them. You can even subscribe to an RSS feed of your search, so that you can constantly keep an eye on your “listening post.”
  • My Blog Contest: If you want to see how blog contests are done, look no further than My Blog Contest, where you can see hundreds of examples of blog contests.
  • Tell a Friend: For contests, giveaways, or anything, really, you can use “Tell a Friend” to help spread the word… and reap the traffic.
  • Click to Tweet: This ingenious service makes it drop-dead easy for your audience to spread your content on twitter–with a single click! Make this link BIG on contest and giveaway pages.
  • Scribd: Scribd is “YouTube for documents.” It’s a great place to share free reports and whitepapers with the world, which are also embeddable on your own blog.
  • SlideShare: SlideShare is “YouTube for slideshows.”
  • Ning: Ning lets you create and manage your own custom private social network (or, “velvet rope” social network).
  • BlogBurst: Syndicate your blog posts to mainstream sites and even have them reprinted in newspapers (before they all disappear) with BlogBurst.
  • iReport: CNN’s iReport is basically citizen journalism on CNN on the web (and that means traffic).
  • HARO: Help A Reporter Out (HARO) is a fast-growing site that matches journalists and magazine writers with sources for their stories via the web. By joining, you too can be a source and get quoted as an expert in a media story.
  • YARPP: Yet Another Related Posts Plugin (YARPP). Ironically, this “yet another” is actually the best one you can get in my opinion.

Congratulations!

You’ve completed the free Blog Traffic Fisher course! Did you find it worth your time? Did you feel you received as much value out of it as a paid course?

I’ve put tons of work into this course, because I really wanted to raise the bar on valuable free content as a way to grow my email list.

I’m not going to ask you for money, but I am going to ask you to click the link below and send me your feedback:
