“When a boy imagines himself as a character, it is nearly always a superhero of some sort.” -John Eldredge

I have no idea what superhero my son is playing (my husband made his mask and cape out of an old t-shirt) but he definitely got into the part. What characters do your kids dress up as?

  • My 4 yo boy has recently taken to dressing up as "Statue Beliverty". You can guess who that is. Otherwise it's Iron Man, which means he'll zap me with his palms. Spiderman, which means he'll jump off the sofa and somersault instead of walk. And Superman, which means he will just run around in a cape.

I've also got him convinced that I'm a superhero, mostly by doing tricks in the house that he's sure to get keen on in a few years. Ah well.
  • Yep, I got an Ironman and a Spiderman who somersaults of the furniture too.
As annoyed as I get about how many times I have to remind him, "No jumping on/off the couch!" I do love donning the Wonder Woman persona, and playing superheroes right alongside him sometimes. ;)

Mine is fascinated with Superman right now. So much so, that we made a Clark Kent costume for him for Halloween. http://nakiaandkaleb.com/2010/...
  • Oh my gosh, you are crafty! Awesome! And you got a mighty handsome Clark Kent on your hands. I love his "nerd" glasses.
